2008-09-03 - 1:20 a.m.So, the cat's out of the bag. I let him read the last post. It's kind of a relief, actually. Now at least I don't have to pretend that I feel anything other than what I feel. And, oddly, letting him know made it a little less intense for me. It reinforced that I truly care about him, and he read it, and seems to understand where I'm coming from. I think if I were in his shoes I might have been a little freaked out, but he seemed to take it for exactly what it was worth. It helped that we talked for an hour after he read it. And then we promptly kept on being friends in exactly the same way we were before. Whew.
Labor Day weekend was fairly uneventful. I have to laugh, because I went to bed earlier most of my vacation nights than I do on a regular work night. Friday after work I went home and met up with my little brother and his girlfriend, who got back to the States the day before. Saturday was the big annual cookout, which was great fun. Except I fell asleep at 10:15. Sun and afternoon beers really take it out of me. Sunday was trivia and karaoke, fairly uneventful, and Monday was supposed to be a great night up in Gloucester hanging out with my high school best friend. Until 9 o'clock rolled around and I decided The Closer was too compelling to motivate myself off the couch. And so I got another 11 hours of sleep last night.
Anyway, not so excited for work tomorrow, even though it's my short day. I have a couple of charts that I couldn't get done before I finished work (at SEVEN, no less) on Friday, and the damn virus on my computer has totally f'ed up my IE, so I can't get on the VPN to finish them. Which means I'll probably get a load of shit about it at some point tomorrow. But whatever. I'm so over the bullshit at my job. I need to get my resume together and start looking for a job somewhere where the employer actually appreciates the employees that bring in the dough for them.
