I warned you that my posts would be few and far between until I started classes. Well, guess what! I started class this week. I haven't actually attended a class yet, since four of my five classes are distance learning, but I do go in tomorrow for my first chemistry class. Yes, I'm a little nervous. Sitting in your own living room reading the book, then posting on a message board, is a lot less intimidating than attending a real live class. I always get nervous before the first class. But I'm also really looking forward to it.

A quick synopsis of my birthday weekend:

Friday -- J came up to Salem. Went to McSwiggin's with Will, Brendan, and Katie for a drink. J and I met up with Ryan at Doc Ryan's and finished up the night there.

Saturday -- Harpoon Brewstock with many, many people. See pictures here. Then to the Barking Crab for dinner, and on to Lucky's for more booze. A fun time was had by all.

Sunday -- Dinner with the fam at the new Indian place here in Salem.

Wednesday -- "Official" dinner with J. Very romantic, at Tapeo on Newbury Street. It was a VERY hot day, though. If I had balls, I would have been sweating them off.

That's it for the birthday festivities. I need to find something new to count down to on my counter. I'd do my trip on the QM2, but that's only three days away, so it wouldn't be worth it. Any suggestions?

At some point when I get back from my trip, I have a post especially for Mimi: a comment on this post of hers. But it involves a lot of copying from a book, which I don't have the patience for at this very moment, so it's going to have to wait.

And last, but by no means least, congratulations to Marc and Joanne. Yet another couple I know that's engaged. How nice for them.
