I've had a great week. Not only did the Red Sox win the World Series, I actually passed my exam on Wednesday, by a greater margin than the previous exam. And I had a really nice date with the new boy. He's kind of a gimp right now, being one week out of ACL and miniscus repair on his right knee, but that was fine. I went over to his apartment (He's an adult who actually lives by himself! So rare in Boston...), and we ordered out and watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. My job was to bring the beer, and I passed with flying colors.I don't know how many of you have seen this movie (I'm a little behind the times with the films), but it was kind of odd the nostalgia it brought on from my previous long-term relationship. Suffice it to say, it makes you think a lot about what one considers important, and what one focuses on after an extended duration of a relationship with a person. It was particularly enlightening to me, in neither a positive nor negative way, just in general. And the company was wonderful. Let me just say that I was telling one of my best friends about the date tonight, and he interrupted me to tell me that I was glowing. And this kid knows me well. We have plans to see each other again soon, and I'm really looking forward to it. I worked tonight for six hours, and I made good money. Then I went home to change, and went back to party with the girls that I work with. We're all working all weekend long, and it was great stress relief. We danced together, and had a few drinks. The majority of the eight of us will be working 25 of the next 48 hours together, if not more, so it was a good bonding experience, and a great time to blow off some steam. We'll see how I feel at the end of the night Sunday. I think I might be blowing off my Monday morning class again...
