SOOOOOO busy. That's all I have to say. My second semester has swung into full gear. I have my first exam tomorrow, and a quiz Thursday. I've started my Medical clinical rotation at MGH (crazy!), and my Community Health Nursing clinical rotation is just starting to pick up as well. Not to mention that on the Thursdays and Fridays I'm not at the hospital, I'm working at the pub. Today is a rare afternoon off, which I'm using oh-so-intelligently to avoid studying for my exam tomorrow (Come on! There's laundry to do! And Gilmore Girls to watch, ferchissakes!). Last weekend was VERY laid back. Friday after clinical, I went out for much-needed libations with my fellow classmates. At about seven, I went to fetch NB and we re-joined the group, which had moved venues to the Boston Beer Works. Since I had had a SUPER long day (let's just say I was out of the house well before the sun came up -- like, 5:45am), we made it an early evening, and went to sleep early. We spent Saturday roaming around the city, mostly in the Allston/Brighton area. We had an awesome lunch at Brown Sugar on Comm. Ave., and walked back into town via Boylston. Since neither of us had really bothered to plan anything to do, and I wanted to stay in and watch the BC/Georgetown basketball game anyway (ahem -- UNDEFEATED, #5 in the AP polls! Yippee!), we ended up staying in all night. NB was feeling a little down about that, like he was holding me back or something. Puh-lease! If I wanted to go out, believe me, I would have been out. Instead, we had a really great conversation about music, and played each other a whole bunch of stuff that we'd never heard before. It was actually really fun. Then Sunday I headed home early, on the pretense of studying for this exam (yeah, right).
Just to give you an idea of how cute this boy is, this is the message I came home to on Sunday evening. Alright, so I went out to meet up with my friends and sing some karaoke for a little while. Sue me...
NB: did you know Ulaanbaatar is the capital of Mongolia?!
That's it. The whole thing. So, seeing that he had logged off, I decided to leave him a nice message for the next time he logged on...
me: you're a fuckin' freak.
me: and this is why i like you so much
me: ;)
me: i know you're not going to see this until you log in again
me: so just know
me: you make me laugh
me: AND
me: you're hot
me: (and I'm not the only silly girl who thinks this)
me: g'night
To which his response yesterday evening was...
NB: i was trying to read those from last to first b/c that's how they are listed in the Offline messages box and I thought you had definitely lost your mind. I've read them the right way through now and you've only partially lost your mind ...
Actually, it seems to work either way. I think this is why we get along so well...
