I'm realizing that I'm not a very good story-teller. Nobody really logs on here just looking to see what I'm doing with my life on a day-to-day basis (alright, there may be two or three of you, but the majority aren't). But really, the reason why I keep up with certain people's websites is because they tell great stories. And in all the time I've been posting, I've never quite done that -- posted good stories, that is, so here I go.I'm going to start this out with the assumption that I can be as free as I'd like about references and people and places. Some of those things will be disguised, as they have always been, although they will not always be discrete, so that those of you who may know me may know those who I am describing (which makes it all the more interesting for those who know me, and perhaps for those who do not). And, honestly, for most people, even those who do know me, it may be more interesting to disguise an identity than to give it away, so I wouldn't take anything for granted if I were you. I may use specific initials or identifiers just to confuse you. You never know... Phew. Well, with my new agenda set in place, I feel the need to sleep on it and come up with a particularly spectacular anecdote to get the ball rolling. I'm finishing up my lovely pastami roll from Bill 'n' Bob's Famous Roast Beef (and I am SO vindicated, Ryan, that I didn't eat that last broccoli bite!), and I really need to get myself to bed. But as soon as I have a particularly amusing anecdote, I will be the first to share it, and with as much wit as I can muster. For now, though, I'm looking forward to celebrating my birthday this weekend, with my friends, and having a good time. Hopefully I'll get some good material out of that...
