Alright, yes, I'm a total slacker about posting. But I SWEAR I have a good reason. After I got back from Jamaica (which was SO much fun, by the way), school work kicked in with a vengeance. I had a case study, a paper, and an exam every week for the last three weeks. This is my last week of that. Oh, and not to mention that I started my NCLEX review course on Saturdays from 8am -- eek! -- to 4pm, every Saturday, except last Saturday. It goes on for another three weeks. Next week, I have a final and a case study due, and the following week I have a case study, and two finals, and then I'm DONE!!! I'll actually be able to get my nursing license! How exciting is that?! There has been other assorted school-related drama, but as of Tuesday that drama is over and done with, thank the lord.Aside from all the school stuff, I've been exceedingly happy. NB spent Thanksgiving with me and my whole extended family, and, in his words, my family "is a whole lot of fun." The day after Thanksgiving, we headed down to Newport, RI, to visit with a couple of friends that we hadn't seen in a while, and we found out they're expecting a baby in June! Very exciting. So today, of course, at the first possible opportunity, I went out and bought supplies for a maternity sweater for her, and a bonnet and booties for the baby. I just can't help myself! I've even already got five inches of the bottom of the back of the sweater done! I'm such a freak. Just last night I finished knitting a scarf that I'm going to give to NB's mom for Christmas. It's a beautiful multicolored mohair, and I designed a really light, airy pattern (it's not like they have really harsh winters in Georgia -- I just wanted to make her something pretty to wear out). We're spending Christmas in Atlanta with his family, and I'm really looking forward to it. I can't believe how quickly time flies -- we'll be leaving for there in less than three weeks. We just found out that his mom got us all tickets to go to the brand new aquarium in Atlanta on Christmas day, and it's supposed to be amazing. So much fun! There really isn't that much going on, honestly. I've obviously been spending a great deal of time with NB. He actually referred to his apartment as "our place" last week when referencing it in conversation -- then, when he realized he had done that, instead of being chagrined, he made sure I'd noticed, and requested full credit for brownie points. Ha! His birthday is coming up on Tuesday, and I'm taking him to a nice dinner, though I haven't told him where. He doesn't like to make a big deal of his birthday, and the fact that he doesn't know a ton of people in the city makes it very easy for him to keep it low key. I will, however, be making sure that he gets a toast at each of the other two birthday dinners we're going to this weekend (one on Saturday, and one on Sunday). It's the least I can do! I'm off to socialize for the littlest bit, since I have to be up at 6:30am for my review class tomorrow. I'm not anticipating much to report in the next few weeks, but hopefully I'll find something interesting to say before another month is up. Happy holidays!
